The Warhol Effect
Soup Cans.jpg

THE WARHOL EFFECT is a new documentary film delving into the late work, life, and enduring legacy of Andy Warhol. Despite his immense influence, little attention has been given to his 1970s and 80s output. From surviving an assassination attempt to his prolific return to painting, the film explores Warhol’s evolution as an artist and his lasting impact on contemporary culture. Through interviews with his friends and modern artists, the film offers a fresh perspective on the enigmatic figure who continues to shape the art world today.

THE WARHOL EFFECT builds into a fascinating new portrait of a man, of whom so much has been said - including original interviews with Urs Fisher, Mickalene Thomas, Damien Hirst, KAWS, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Tom Sachs, Julian Schnabel, Sarah Sze, Josué Thomas, Jordan Wolfson along with Bruno Bischofberger, Peter Brant, Paige Powell, Bob Colacello, Jeffrey Deitch, Vincent Fremont, Larry Gagosian, Tama Janowitz, Kim Kardashian, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein.
